12th Khachaturian International Festival
The Khachaturian International Festival is one of the very few widely celebrated classical music festivals in the region, with its reputation and geography of participants increasingly expanding over years.
Established in 2013, the annual festival hosts in the capital city of Yerevan world-renowned and beloved artists who create an exciting ambience of cross-cultural dialogue through music while raising the awareness of Aram Khachaturian's legacy with their performances.

Established in 2013 with the efforts of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra and its Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, Sergey Smbatyan, the annual festival hosts in the capital city of Yerevan world-renowned and beloved classical artists to co-create an inspiring ambience of cross-cultural dialogue through music, as well as to raise the awareness of Aram Khachaturian’s composing legacy with their performances. John Malkovich, Zakhar Bron, Maxim Vengerov, Sergey Khachatryan, Mayu Kishima, Ning Feng, Boris Berezovsky, Gloria Campaner, Alexander Romanovsky, Narek Hakhnazaryan and many others have been among the brightest stars to light up Khachaturian,s musical universe throughout the history of the festival.
The 9th edition of the Khachaturian International Festival of 2021 is held under the title “Three Friends: Khachaturian, Prokofiev, Shostakovich”, in honor of the artistic friendship of the three prominent composers of the 20th century.
